My topic is on interviews so people nowadays has a qualify to go to an interviews but do they get it! Majority failed the interviews WHY?? what is the problem?? Today I would surely want to help you all to pass the very-scary interviews!
So what happens at the interview?
- ALWAYS BE PREPARED
Make sure you know where your interview is being held, the scheduled time, name of the interviewer and how to pronounce it correctly because we were interviewed by people not cats or something else so people will have good think when we know their names.
- ARRIVE EARLY
Yes you must arrive early to the place 10 minutes or more before the event so you do not feel rushed and very extreme nervous.
- DRESS PROPERLY
Adopt a conservative approach. Choose formal colors and do not wear too much jeweler and avoid strong perfumes or over makeup or over beard (if they did not tell what to wear BUT usually they will tell you in the letter so please check it) and dress is very important to make good impression. If you are Muslim than were tudung (women) and do not wear very sexy.
- SHAKE HANDS
Have a very confident handshake and maintain eye contact while you do this.
- ALWAYS SMILE
Look into the eye of the interviewer with a big smile on your face. BUT if you notice a very harsh, fierce, devils-face interviewer(usually they will have ONE) so do not look at him and avoid to see his/her face BECAUSE it will disturb your mood/mind/emotion and many more.
- WATCH YOUR BODY LANGUAGE
DO not look so nervous and fidget; keep your hands folded in your lap and do not shake your legs.
- USE CONFIDENT AND POSITIVE WORDS
When you talk doesn’t use very stupid words and don’t shows your weakness to them but instead you manipulate it (just cheated) and use good words.
- DO RESEARCH
Review the detail on the internet; get a copy of the organization’s profile and its need such as the motto and president and so on. This will help you to answer some of the interviewer question about the company/organization.
- KNOW YOU RESUME WELL
YES! You must know WHY you write the resume like that because THEY will read it ask about it. So you must know the idea to talk and focus on your achievements and experiences and your contribution and your soft skills like leadership.
- DO NOT BURDEN YOUR INTERVIEWER
Such as do ask so many questions (you must ask but not too many) and use white paper not colorful paper and just stapled and avoid plastic folders or anything’s that can make your interviewer sighs.
- INTERVIEW THE INTERVIEWER TOO!
You need to ask some questions that show you’re a very confident and to show that you are very interested in the company. Such question: “when will I be notified I am succeddful in the application?” You can also ask about the next step like you already have the scholarship or something else.
- MAKE A VERY CONFIDENT IMPRESSION
The very most important in interviewing in making impression. Be cool, calm, collected, relaxed, smile, happy, ready.
- THANK TO THE INTERVIEWER
You must thank to the interviewer by names and keep an eye contact with them at the closing to make them remember your eyes.
- HAVE MANNER
Yes firstly, knock on the door before entering the room. Smile. Shake hands with them (caution if you a Muslim, don’t shake with women). Sit tightly and hands on the laps. Don’t shake your body, legs BUT you can do your hands action when you talk (its shows your confidence). If they ask question, answer it clearly, straight-forward. And avoid some funny stuff, tells jokes, and laugh strongly. Ask those questions and DON’T SHY. Before you leave, say a few strong WORDS and thank them and shake hands and leave it.
See just piece of cake. I know you can do it!
